SYMC shows a strong 9-month profit, reaching 125.8 million baht, grew by 70% year-on-year

SYMC recorded its 9-month period of 2022 operating results with Net Profit of 125.8 million baht, increased by 70% from same period last year of Normalised Net Profit of 74.1 million baht (after excluding other income from one-time reversal USO accrued expenses in Q3/21). The solid earnings growth was attributable to revenue of 1,269.1 million baht, increased by 12% compared with same period last year, mainly driven by strong sales demand from both domestic enterprise and also global connectivity services.

Mr. Alex Loh, Chief Operating Officer, Symphony Communication Public Company Limited, a leading telecommunication network provider or SYMC, said that the overall business of Symphony continues to grow further consistently during post Covid-19 pandemic situation, including the reopening of the country and people or businesses returning to normal situation. Although there are some negative factors like global  economic concern, rising cost of living due to inflation and challenging financial landscape around the world, the company still maintain its target growth for 2022 with double-digit revenue and earnings growth, and believe that  connectivity service revenue will continue to drive the company’s focus to expand customer base and to serve more  demand for data connectivity and internet usage together with accelerating focus on cloud adoption. 

In the third quarter of 2022, the company’s overall revenue increased by 4.0% to 437.0 million baht with corresponding net profit of 46.6 million baht increased by 80.7% compared to same quarter last year of normalised profit of 25.8 million baht (after excluding one time reversal of USO accrued expenses 31.7 million baht in Q3/21). This good performance of continuous growth in sales was driven from corporate customers both domestic enterprise and global connectivity services on data connectivity and digitalization trends across many organizations today and in the future.

In the third quarter of 2022, the company’s overall revenue increased by 4.0% to 437.0 million baht with corresponding net profit of 46.6 million baht increased by 80.7% compared to same quarter last year of normalised profit of 25.8 million baht (after excluding one time reversal of USO accrued expenses 31.7 million baht in Q3/21). This good performance of continuous growth in sales was driven from corporate customers both domestic enterprise and global connectivity services on data connectivity and digitalization trends across many organizations today and in the future.

Mr. Alex added that the Company has invested significantly over the last 3 years on network expansion and enhancement by bringing the new technologies and network capabilities to replace our old legacy network systems. The strategic move was part of the long term business direction to continue to build stronger and trusted network infrastructure to support future digitalization as more and more organizations are slowly moving into seamless yet efficiency operations, backed by network integration and cloud adoption.
